Administrator: Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership Inc (INHP)

Geographic Scope: Indianapolis and Marion County, Indiana; focused on areas within a quarter-mile of transit lines

Focus Areas:

• Affordable housing near transit lines
• Equitable transit-oriented development
• Housing preservation and development near IndyGo bus rapid transit lines
• Prevention of gentrification
• Equitable access to employment, education, and healthcare

Fund Goals:

• Preserve or develop 1,000 affordable housing units within a quarter-mile of a transit line
• Enable equitable access to jobs, education, and healthcare
• Prevent gentrification
• Support vibrant local economy development
• Address housing cost burden (moderate-income families spend nearly 60% of income on housing and transportation)

Program Structure:

• Initial $500,000 grant from JPMorgan Chase to activate the fund
• Will include additional private- and public-sector support
• Part of INHP and JPMorgan Chase's nearly 30-year partnership to support working families and neighborhood redevelopment

Additional Information:

• Initiative launched to address IndyGo's bus rapid transit line expansion
