Energy Efficiency Program

Overview: District Energy St. Paul's energy efficiency program is structured to help customers identify and move forward with projects to improve building performance, save energy, save money, and reduce carbon.

Geographic Scope: Saint Paul, Minnesota (for buildings served by District Energy St. Paul)

Focus Areas:

  • Energy audits

  • Equipment replacement/upgrade (HVAC, controls, heat exchangers, etc.)

  • Building programming changes and improvements

  • Energy recommissioning

  • Indoor air quality concerns

  • Reduce electricity profile

  • Reduce thermal profile

  • Reduce carbon profile
  • Eligibility:

  • Must be a District Energy St. Paul customer with active service

  • Buildings 50,000 square feet and larger are required to benchmark energy data with the City
  • Selection Process:

  • Selection made on a rolling basis as resources allow

  • Application acts as a screening tool to narrow down qualifying projects

  • Applicants meeting initial requirements will be contacted for further exploration

  • May require providing additional project and building documentation (previous building studies, existing system drawings, etc.)
