Emerging Leaders of Color RFP

Overview: A request for proposals from qualified agencies to develop curriculum for the Indiana Youth Worker Well-Being Project's Emerging Leaders of Color development program.

Focus: Leadership development program targeting emerging leaders of color in the youth workforce

Program Goals:

  • Identify emerging leaders of color

  • Help build on existing leadership skills

  • Create community networks required to lead and grow effective youth-serving agencies

    • Program Structure:

  • Two annual cohorts of 20-25 youth workers each

  • Multiple-session curriculum for leadership training

  • Training for Youth Worker Well-Being Project staff and partner agency representatives

    • Geographic Scope: Indiana

    Partners: Indiana Afterschool Network, IARCA Institute for Excellence, Indiana Youth Services Association, Indiana Youth Institute, Marion County Commission on Youth

    Curriculum Requirements: Agency must create curriculum for leadership training sessions that facilitate connections, advance skills, and create lasting support networks

    Launch: Cohorts begin in 2024
