Overview
The Emergency Mental Health Micro Grants, offered by the Indie Theater Fund NYC, provide $500 to NYC-based indie theater artists for mental health expenses such as therapy and medication. This initiative aims to reduce barriers to care, ensuring that artists receive the necessary support for their mental well-being. Priority is given to BIPOC, Trans/Non-Binary, disabled, and immigrant artists, fostering inclusivity within the arts community.
IndieSpace is excited to announce the reopening of applications for our $500 Mental Health Microgrant application. These grants, are designed to offset costs of vital mental healthcare for NY-based theatre makers.
If you or any indie theater makers you work with need support for mental health costs, please remember that each month we will be awarding $500 micro grants for up to 20 indie theater makers to use toward therapy, medication, meditation classes, and any other mental health-related costs.
Eligibility
This application is open to any NYC-based Indie theater artist in need of mental health funds, even if you have previously been awarded this grant.
