Eligibility:

• Non-profit organizations providing food and shelter services in Whitman County
• Organizations must have capacity to document federal funding

Award Structure:

• Allocations based on percentage of each applying organization's total request
• Decisions determined by local EFSP Board of experts and volunteer representatives
• Recent awards (Phase 40 & 41) totaled over $40,000
  • Phase 40: Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse ($4,000), Council on Aging & Human Services Colfax ($15,376)
  • Phase 41: Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse ($2,000), Council on Aging & Human Services Colfax ($10,855), Pullman Community Council on Aging ($7,398)

Program Details:

• Federal funds reimburse local non-profits for costs incurred providing food and shelter
• Funds distributed in phases with separate applications for each phase
• Local Board Chair: Kris Finch
