Program Description

Annual back-to-school distribution event providing new clothing essentials for the school year.

Eligibility

• Age: 6 to 18th birthday (or graduation from high school, whichever comes last)
• Status: Homeless, low-income, or in foster care
• Geographic scope: Whatcom or Skagit County residents
• Income verification: Required (eligible for free/reduced lunch under WA State OSPI Guidelines qualifies)
• Identification: Required for parent/guardian and child
• Distribution programs do not count toward the three Little Wishes per calendar year limit
• Blue Skies may serve up to five children per family

What is Provided

• NEW coat
• NEW shoes
• Socks
• Backpack

Event Timing

• Schedule: Mid-September annually (2025 event reached over 400 children)
• Type: In-person event distribution
