(e)NVEST Community Grant

The Embraer Foundation is excited to announce its local grant program, (e)NVEST Community Grants, is accepting applications. Programs, projects and initiatives that address critical community needs in the communities where Embraer has facilities will be considered. Critical community needs are defined as programs, projects or initiatives that address community challenges related to:

* Education
* Housing
* Food Insecurity
* Workforce Development/Job Skills

The program

Through annual local grants the Embraer Foundation creates positive impact in the communities where our employees live and work. To ensure each grant awarded is relevant to the critical needs of the community, programs are selected by our employee-based grant review committees at each location.

(e)NVEST Community Grants contribute to a meaningful and common global goal. Programs, projects, and initiatives are considered based on their alignment to one of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG):

* No Poverty
* Zero Hunger
* Quality Education
* Decent Work and Economic Growth
* Sustainable Cities and Communities

Funding

EF will award grants in two categories, General Operating and Competitive, up to $10,000 and $25,000 respectively. The budget included in the application should only be for what the grant will fund, not the organization’s entire budget.

Eligibility

* 501(c)3 organizations registered as public charities that have been active more than one (1) year with no gender, ethnic, religious or other restrictions, transforming communities in and around the following Embraer facilities:
* Cleveland, OH
* Dallas, TX
* Fort Lauderdale, FL
* Fort Worth, TX
* Jacksonville, FL
* Macon, GA
* Melbourne, FL
* Mesa, AZ
* Nashville, TN
* Sanford, FL
* Projects, programs and initiatives submitted for an (e)NVEST grant must be implemented by Section 501(c)(3) public charities who have been active for at least one-year after receiving its tax-deductible designation.

Ineligibility

* Embraer Foundation will not approve a grant for the following:
* an organization outside the United States;
* a Section 501(c)(3) organization classified as a public charity under Section 509(a)(3) of the IRC (i.e., a “supporting organization”);
* a private foundation, even if classified as a Section 501(c)(3) organization;
* a for-profit business;
* an individual or family;
* a program that focuses solely on a particular ethnicity, religious group, or sexual orientation;
* a project limited to one gender only (while the project may focus on a gender, it may not limit participation solely to that gender);
* political lobbying activities, attempts to influence legislation or political purposes, including support of a political candidate, a political party or a political action committee;
* religious activities;
* a project intended to take place or provide services in a different state or abroad, even though the location of the applicant is in one or more of the targeted geographic areas;
* operational costs such as purchasing of real estate, etc.;
* program costs incurred by the applicant prior to the approval of the grant;
* any purpose that is not entirely charitable;
* capital campaigns, fundraising dinners or other fundraising events; or
* endowment funds.
