El-Hibri Foundation Grant

The El-Hibri Foundation Grant focuses on advancing the inclusion of American Muslim communities through nonprofit organizations. It supports initiatives that promote societal norms, enhance organizational capacity, and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders. The Foundation encourages applications from 501(c)(3) organizations in the U.S. that align with its mission. While it does not accept unsolicited proposals, interested parties may pitch their projects for potential funding consideration.

NOTE: We currently do not accept unsolicited proposals. However, if you believe your organization’s work is consistent with the Foundation’s strategy and approach, you may submit a short pitch as a means of letting the Foundation staff know about your activities.
The El-Hibri Foundation envisions a society where everyone can achieve the American Dream in a diverse and inclusive world. Our grantmaking supports this vision by investing in nonprofit organizations from diverse sectors that advance the inclusion of American Muslim communities. Efforts to support these communities are currently under-resourced and now face increasing challenges.

Advancing Inclusion: Implementing initiatives and programs to advance inclusion of American Muslim communities and promote inclusive societal norms.Building Capacity: Equipping leaders and organizations with the training, skills, and approaches needed to maximize their organizational impact and reach high performance.Organizing Communities: Catalyzing collaboration and collective action, and building coalitions and inclusive partnerships that strengthen civil society.

Eligibility

Organizational RequirementsApplicants must be publicly funded, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations registered in the United States.EHF supports activities that have national impact; exceptions are made for activities that have high potential to scale up.Funding is limited to activities undertaken primarily in the United States. Eligibility CriteriaEHF grants may support:Organizational capacity building, training, and leadership development in order to build high-performing nonprofit organizations; andPrograms and projects seeking to effectively advance inclusion, build sector capacity, or organize communities.Other Requirements
EHF encourages applicants to submit proposals for activities that will be completed within a 12-month period.An organization may submit only one application per EHF grant cycle.Exceptions are made for very large organizations, such as universities, which may submit one application per department or program.

Ineligibility

EHF does not provide support to individuals, except through its annual Peace Awards Program. We only review applications submitted by registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
