Education & Leadership Impact Grants

BLBB Charitable considers requests for operating support, project support, and capacity building (including sustainability and strategic planning, program planning and growth, leadership or professional development, or staff training) in the following areas:

* College Access & Post-Secondary Opportunities:
* BLBB Charitable supports programs that assist disadvantaged youth and their families in navigating the college application process. We also back initiatives offering innovative or alternative post-secondary opportunities, particularly for young people who may benefit from options beyond the traditional four-year college model. Furthermore, we fund career and leadership development opportunities for youth, including formal internship and leadership programs.
* Economic Self-Sufficiency:
* Programs that work deeply with individuals over time to break the cycle of poverty on an individual level impacting the community and future generations. We particularly focus on programs that work with family systems and intergenerational stability.
* K-12 Educational Opportunities:
* Youth Development & Leadership: programs focused on youth from middle through high school that provide academic enrichment, character, and leadership development. We prioritize organizations that remove barriers to success for disadvantaged youth, or provide life-changing opportunities, experiences, or connections that allow them to flourish.
* The preference is for programs that maintain connections over a longer period of time and have the potential to change a participant’s life trajectory in a positive way.
* K-12 Independent Schools: programs that focus on strengthening independent schools and their sustainability in our region, or support students’ educational pathways through teacher professional development, innovative teaching models, or special programs or curricula.
* Local Environmental Education Opportunities:
* Organizations located in eastern Montgomery County and Bucks County that focus on educating youth and local communities about nature and environmental issues. These organizations work to increase awareness and understanding of our natural surroundings and environmental challenges within our region.
