How to Apply

Application Process

The application process is a two-step process:

1. Step 1: Letter of Inquiry (LOI)
- Submit a Letter of Inquiry to express interest in the grant
- Deadline: October 20, 2022 by 12:00 a.m. (Note: This deadline has passed; check website for current deadlines)
- United Way Education Impact Council volunteers will review all Letters of Inquiry
- Approved applicants will be invited to proceed to Step 2

2. Step 2: Full Application
- Approved LOI applicants will be invited to complete the full application process
- Timeline: Approved applicants invited in January 2023 to submit full applications

    Required Information

  • Program design should demonstrate how it will improve 3rd grade reading in Pickens County
  • Include plans for parental engagement and involvement
  • Identify how the program will serve underrepresented and/or marginalized populations
  • Outline all program expenses, including staff salaries

Submit via the United Way Community Investment process (check Community Investment webpage for current submission details and portal)
