Dwight Stuart Youth Fund Grant The Dwight Stuart Youth Fund was established in 2001 by Dwight L. Stuart. The mission of the Dwight Stuart Youth Fund (DSYF) is to support organizations in Los Angeles County that provide direct services and experiences to children and youth from underserved communities so they may gain values, skills, and confidence to achieve their potential. Our values guide all aspects of the Fund, from how we operate internally to how we partner with grantees. We are proud to support organizations that embody these values, as we all work to strengthen equity, trust, inclusion, and belonging. Funding Areas Invest I Empower I Develop We support educational enrichment programs that provide youth with a well-rounded experience, build their skills, and support their growth. These programs strengthen the leaders of tomorrow in communities that have been historically marginalized and under-resourced due to systemic, economic, and racial inequality. Geographic Focus: Funding is restricted to projects serving Los Angeles County. Program Focus: We fund Direct Service programs specifically serving youth from underserved communities.

Funding is not available for:IndividualsPrivate foundationsAnnual giving campaignsBuildings or capital campaignsUnrestricted endowments or deficit reductionPolitical parties, candidates, campaigns, or lobbying activitiesFundraising activities, benefit sponsorship, advertisements, or tablesMedical or health programs, including hospitals, clinics, and mental or physical trauma recovery programs; DSYF also does not fund programs for children and youth who are diagnosed as emotionally and/or developmentally disabled, or chronically and terminally ill.Organizations which, in their constitution or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, political affliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or religious belief.Programs operating outside Los Angeles County.
