Dream BIG Grant

Funder: Foundation for the Diocese of Helena

Geographic Scope: Diocese of Helena, Montana

Eligibility: Parishes, missions, schools, programs and ministries within the Diocese of Helena

Award Amount: One transformative grant of up to $15,000 per cycle

Program Purpose: This grant encourages parishes, clergy and laity to pursue innovative and imaginative projects aimed at reaching beyond parish walls into the community to bring the Good News and God's love to all people. The Dream BIG grant is meant to support endeavors that confront contemporary realities through New Evangelization—bringing Christ to His people in new and creative ways inspired by the Holy Spirit.

    1. Complete the 2027 Grant Application (same form used for Faith in Action Grants)
    2. Submit via online portal or email to mherriges@diocesehelena.org
    3. Alternatively, download the fillable PDF application and email submission

    Application Process:
    The Dream BIG grant uses the same application process as the Faith in Action Grants program. Refer to the standard application requirements, but be sure to clearly articulate:

    Key Application Emphasis:

  • How your project actively and imaginatively seeks to build an endeavor aimed at reaching outside the parish walls

  • How it brings the Good News and God's love to all people in your community

  • The transformative nature of the project

  • How it demonstrates the creativity and life of the Holy Spirit

  • How it embodies the apostolic spirit of New Evangelization

  • Innovation and courage in approach
  • Required Narrative Information (as per standard application):

  • Project description (why needed, expected outcomes, evaluation strategy)

  • Organization description and community served

  • Complete budget

  • Plans for obtaining other necessary funding

  • Sustainability plan for projects extending beyond grant period

  • One-sentence project description
  • Submission Requirements:

  • Must be signed by Pastor/Administrator and/or authorized officer

  • Certifies that information provided is true and correct
