Geographic Scope: Chester County, PA and surrounding service territory

Purpose: The Dr. Michael J. Kelly Pathways Scholarship Program awards grants to qualifying students to enable them to attend post-secondary educational institutions.

Eligible Programs

The scholarship can fund attendance at:
• Traditional institutions: Colleges and universities
• Career and Technical Schools: Including licensed practical nursing, cosmetology, construction, and technology programs
• Trade Schools: Various hands-on technical training programs
• Certification and Equipment: Certification exams, special fees, tools, and equipment associated with coursework or academic programs

Award Uses

Scholarship awards can be used for:
• Tuition and fees
• Purchase of required tools and equipment
• Laptop computers and technology
• Certification exam fees
• Special program fees

Award Examples (2023-2024)

• Nina R.: $4,121.82 (for laptop for BFA in Applied Digital Arts at Kutztown University)
• Jacque S.: $2,200 (for tools for Automotive Training Center)
• Caleb A.: $5,050 (for tools for Penn College of Technology)
• Wesley B.: $1,507.07 (for tools for electrical construction program at PCT)
• Nicklaus M.: $1,998 (for tools for building construction program at PCT)

Eligibility

• Students from qualifying post-secondary institutions
• Focus on students pursuing career and technical education
• Demonstrated financial need
