Doug & Janice Steinback Family Scholarship Grant

The Doug & Janice Steinback Family Scholarship is offered by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin to assist students from Southwest Wisconsin pursuing degrees in agriculture, life sciences, biology, or chemistry. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and may receive preference if they demonstrate involvement in community activities or financial need. This scholarship aims to support local high school graduates from specific counties in their academic endeavors.

The Community Foundation is a repository for more than 900 charitable funds worth more than $90 million. We service these funds by managing the investment, encouraging and supporting additions, overseeing the disbursement of grants and scholarships, and managing the requisite government paperwork.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth.
Available to students from: Argyle High School, Barneveld High School, Belmont High School, Benton High School, Black Hawk High School, Boscobel High School, Cassville High School, Cuba City High School, Darlington High School, Dodgeville High School, Fennimore High School, Highland High School, Iowa-Grant High School, Ithaca High School, Lancaster High School, North Crawford High School, Platteville High School, Potosi High School, Prairie du Chien High School, Richland Center High School, Riverdale High School, Shullsburg High School, Southwestern High School, Weston High School
Established to assist students from Southwest Wisconsin (graduates of a Grant, Iowa, Lafayette, Crawford or Richland county high school) who intend to pursue a degree in the field of agriculture, life science, biology and/or chemistry.

Eligibility

The applicant must have achieved a high school cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
