Domestic Violence Housing Grant
Funder: State of Utah's Office for Victims of Crime (administered through Utah Navajo Health System Inc)

Program Philosophy
Housing is identified as the first critical need for domestic violence victims. By assisting in finding stable housing, many other problems can be resolved.- Emergency Housing: Immediate hotel vouchers available 24/7, even at night
- Temporary Assistance (first 3 months): Help with utilities, rent, and other expenses if victim can remain in home
- Mobile Home Relocation: Funds to relocate mobile homes to safe locations
- Shelter Placement: Placement in available shelters in the region
- Long-term Housing Support: Assistance with apartment deposits, job search, childcare costs, and educational expenses
- Transportation: Costs for transportation related to long-term housing solutions

- 24/7 victim advocate response, even for middle-of-the-night emergency calls
- Hotel voucher agreements for immediate emergency placement
- Cultural considerations specific to Navajo community
- Addresses shelter availability issues in the region (previously victims had to travel to Moab, Richfield, or other distant locations)
