UNHS Healthcare Scholarship
Funder: Utah Navajo Health System Inc (UNHS)
Geographic Scope: Southeastern Utah service areas including Navajo Mountain, Montezuma Creek, Blanding, Monticello, and Monument Valley, UT
Award Distribution: One female and one male student selected from each of the five UNHS service areas (10 scholarships total)
Focus Areas: Healthcare-related fields of study with preference given to:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or vocational school
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or B average
- Preference given to undergraduates seeking healthcare course of study
Eligibility Requirements
- Amount: $500 per semester (fall and spring), $1,000 total annual award
- Disbursement: Payments sent directly to the financial aid office of the school (not to individual students)
- UNHS retains full flexibility in awarding scholarships to excellent students

2. Submit a 1-page essay discussing:
- Your observations of healthcare needs in your local community
- How you plan to give back to your community through a career in healthcare
3. Submit application materials to UNHS
4. Awards are disbursed to the financial aid office of your accredited school
