NOTE: Grantees may only apply one time per grant cycle; Do it Best offers four grant cycles per year. Organizations may apply multiple times per year. About The Do it Best Foundation was launched by Do it Best, a Fort Wayne, IN-based wholesale hardware and lumber distributor, in 2019 as a way to support not-for-profit community organizations and agencies that are committed to serving the needs of others. Our philosophy of “Serving others as we would like to be served” guides us to help those who need it most. Areas of Focus In creating the Do it Best Foundation, we have identified four focus areas where we can positively impact our community: Health & Wellness- Ensuring we have adequate resources to support the growth of healthy children and their families.Youth Enrichment - Encouraging developmental, educational, and extracurricular activities to strengthen the minds and bodies of children and prepare them for successful futures.The Arts - Supporting a vibrant culture displayed through creativity.The Community - Developing stronger connections among our citizens and building a greater appreciation for what makes our neighborhoods and towns unique and worth enhancing.

The Do it Best Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations that align with our focus areas.In order to qualify to submit a grant request, requesting organizations must meet these criteria:Be a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status Have a valid EIN (Employer Identification Number) Be based in or near the following locations: Dixon, IL; Fort Wayne, IN; Sikeston, MO; Mesquite, NV; Montgomery, NY; Medina, OH; Woodburn, OR; Lexington, SC; Milbank, SD; or Waco, TX Serve in one (or more) of four areas of focus: Health & Wellness, Youth Enrichment, The Arts, or The CommunityThe Do it Best Foundation provides grant funds to complement or augment resources that will directly benefit those within the communities we serve.

Expenses such as salaries and operational expenses do not support that intention and are not considered.
