Application Process
1. Complete the Application for Funding form - Submit to District 6440 Charitable Fund at 501c3@Rotary6440.org for preliminary review
2. Upon approval, the project will be posted on the website as a project open for contributions
3. Designate contributions - Specify the exempt purpose, such as:
- Global Grant or District Grant (with grant number)
- Specific Rotary club project
- ShelterBox initiative
- Rotary Emergency Relief Project
- District 6440 Discretionary Fund
Contribution Methods
- Credit Card via PayPal: Use the PayPal form (processing fees covered by District 6440, so project receives 100% of donation)
- Check: Mail to the Charitable Fund treasurer at the mailing address above (project receives 100% of donation)
After Submission
- Charitable Fund treasurer sends tax-deductible donation receipts to donors
- Project originator is advised of contributions received
- Website is updated with project funding status
- Once project is fully funded, originator provides payment instructions
- Funds are released from Charitable Fund bank account upon receipt of payment instructions
