Disaster Relief Grant

Purpose: Grant provides emergency funding to assist clubs in clearing debris and making repairs so flying sites become accessible and usable again.

Geographic Scope: United States (all AMA chartered clubs)

Eligible Disasters: Natural disasters including:

• Hurricanes
• Earthquakes
• Flooding
• Firestorms
• Other natural disasters

Eligibility:

• Club must be a current AMA chartered club
• Flying site must have been damaged by natural disaster

What They Fund:

• Debris clearing
• Site repairs to restore field accessibility and usability

What They Don't Fund:

• Repairs to structures or facilities damaged by vandalism
• Repairs to structures or facilities damaged by theft
• Repairs to structures or facilities damaged by wild animals

Key Dates:

• Application Available: Year-Round
• Award Announced: Within 2 weeks of application submission

Application Process

1. Submit Online Application: Complete the online application form with required information and photos
2. Attach Documentation: Application allows for electronic attachment of required items
3. Required Materials:
   • Photos of damage incurred at flying site
   • Detailed description of damage and repair needs
4. Submission Responsibility: Club is responsible for submitting all required information
5. Review & Award: Deputy Director reviews application and awards appropriate funds
6. Timeline: Within 2 weeks of complete application submission

• All items must be attached before award will be granted
