Disaster Grant

Description: Emergency funding to help animal shelters and rescue organizations recover from natural disasters and extreme weather events, including hurricanes, winter storms, and floods.

Geographic Scope: United States (examples include Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana)

Focus Areas:

  • Emergency animal rescue and transportation

  • Facility repairs and equipment replacement (generators, HVAC systems, water systems)

  • Medical care and supplies for displaced animals

  • Emergency supplies (heating, cooling, blankets, food, water)

  • Staffing costs during disaster response
  • What They Fund:

  • Generator purchases and fuel

  • HVAC/cooling/heating equipment repair and replacement

  • Water system repairs and replacement

  • Medical supplies and medications

  • Animal transportation and evacuation costs

  • Emergency supplies (blankets, food, water jugs, etc.)

  • Facility repairs from storm damage

  • Reimbursement for waived adoption fees during recovery
  • Eligibility: Animal shelters and rescue organizations impacted by disasters
