Overview

Digitization Project Grants

Purpose: Support digitization projects for METRO members to enhance the quality and accessibility of library and information resources in the metropolitan New York region.

Geographic Scope: Metropolitan New York region

Key Features:

  • Provides funding for digitization projects at various stages of the digitization life cycle

  • Enables METRO members to provide free and open access to materials in their collections that have not yet been digitized or are not currently publicly available

  • Builds institutional capacity, positioning members for future larger-scale digitization projects

  • Creates community capacity for digital collections

    • Eligibility:

  • METRO members only

  • Institutions working on digitization projects at various stages

    • Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per institution
