Diane M. Dempster-Gross Memorial Music Scholarship Grant

The Diane M. Dempster-Gross Memorial Music Scholarship, established in 2019 by family and friends in memory of Diane, aims to support graduating seniors from East, North, or West High Schools in Sioux City, Iowa. This scholarship is dedicated to music majors pursuing post-secondary education at accredited colleges or universities. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have participated in music-related extracurricular activities.

The Siouxland Community Foundation strives to enhance the quality of life in the greater Siouxland tri-state area by seeking charitable gifts to build permanent endowments as charitable capital for the community, providing a flexible vehicle to receive and distribute gifts of any size, making grants in response to community needs, and providing services that will help shape the well-being of Siouxland.
This scholarship fund was established in 2019 by family and friends in memory of Diane and her love of the flute.
Purpose: The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduating North, East or West High School senior music majors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education at an accredited two or four-year college/university.

Eligibility

Applicants must be graduating seniors from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa; North High School in Sioux City, Iowa; or West High School in Sioux City, Iowa and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants must have participated in music extracurricular at school and/or their community.
