Overview

A program allowing donors with company matching gift programs to designate donations directly to any school in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Gifts are fully deductible as charitable contributions but do not receive Kansas state income tax credits.

• Supports any school in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita
• Donor must designate specific school to receive their gift

• Schools use funds for educational purposes

Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum gift: $500
• Company matching programs: Donors must have a company matching gift program
• Donors are responsible for requesting matching gift through their company

Tax Benefits

• Does NOT receive: 75% Kansas state income tax credit
• Does receive: Full deductible charitable deduction (federal)

Designated school programs (donors specify which school receives their gift)

What They Don't Fund

Note: Gifts to the Tax Credit Program (not this program) cannot be designated to a particular school. Gifts to the Tax Credit Program support low-income students throughout the diocese.

Program Notes

• Minimum gift of $500 required to participate
• Donors are strongly encouraged to give no more than quarterly; annual gifts preferred
• Gifts are distributed at the end of each quarter to the specified school
• Most employer matching programs accept these gifts
• Unlike the Tax Credit Program, these gifts are not limited to low-income students

• All gifts and matching gifts distributed at end of each quarter
• Distribution goes to the school designated by the donor
