The General Fund

Mission: Supports individuals in their practice and demonstration of Christian Science, offering one-time grants to those with financial need.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Sincerely practice Christian Science and rely on God for healing
• Actively support the Christian Science church
• Have income and assets below threshold to afford immediate need
• Currently reside in the United States or its territories
• Be individuals (groups and churches not funded)

Funded Needs

May offer modest grants for:

• Food
• Rent, mortgage, or utilities
• Relocation for employment or housing
• Emergencies (car/roof repairs, etc.)
• Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner fees

NOT Funded

• Education expenses (including Christian Science nurse training)
• Primary Class Instruction or Association costs
• Christian Science nursing fees (see National Fund for Christian Science Nursing)
• Christian Science activities (conferences, camps)
• Business startup or maintenance costs
• Loans (all grants are gifts)
