David S. Lee Fund for the Conservation of Caribbean Birds

A BirdsCaribbean named grant fund supporting applied and innovative projects with direct conservation effects on Caribbean birds and/or their habitats, favoring projects that involve local conservation groups and communities. Eligibility: scientists/naturalists working in the Caribbean who are students or early-career ornithologists/conservationists/wildlife professionals (less than 10 years post-graduation, not established faculty or senior staff); a student applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university program. Use of funds: field-site travel, field living expenses, equipment/supplies (traps, cameras, recording units, nest boxes) — not salaries, wages, or overhead. Applicants must be BirdsCaribbean members.
