Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation Grant

The mission of the Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation is to improve the well being of residents in Yates and Monroe counties, New York, in particular, the City of Rochester. A central concern is disadvantaged children and families and the neighborhoods in which they live.

The Foundation believes that we can best serve those in need by granting time-limited support to nonprofit organizations with programs or projects that provide access to health care, attend to the needs of young children, assist senior citizens, or help families develop economic security.

The Foundation also looks for programs that:

*  Give people the tools they need to help themselves.
*  Encourage collaboration among agencies and between individuals and agencies.
*  Have measurable outcomes.
*  Make long-term commitments to specific neighborhoods.

Eligibility

*  501 (c) (3) organizations located in and serving Yates or Monroe counties in NY are eligible to apply.

Ineligibility

* We are unable to fund the following:

* Organizations or projects not in Monroe or Yates Counties of New York State
* Non 501(c)(3) organizations
* Emergency funding
* Endowments
* Local chapters of national health-related organizations
* Private schools
* Projects by individuals
* Religious projects
* Research
* Scholarships
