Guided by our vision, purpose, mission, values, and policies, we inspire philanthropic generosity to enhance our community’s quality of life. D.C. Everest Alumni Scholarship & Grants for Skilled Trades The D.C. Everest Class of 1974 established this scholarship and grant process to give back to our community and support future generations. Our time at Everest helped shape our lives, build lifelong friendships, and inspire us to pursue our goals. Our motivation came from recognizing that skilled trades professionals are essential to our workforce and that trade-focused options are often overlooked in the process of choosing a career path. Industries that require trades workers are chronically under-resourced, creating opportunities for professional and financial success. Our goal is to encourage and support students to pursue careers in the trades, as well as existing trades professionals that aspire to advance their careers by pursuing higher skill levels through advanced training in specialized areas of construction. The scholarship or grant may provide some needed financial assistance for education, tools, or equipment, and help turn an applicant’s career vision into a reality. Criteria Applications will be evaluated based on: A clear strong commitment to pursuing a career in the skilled construction tradesA description or demonstration of how your work in the trades will positively impact others and your communityAn explanation of why this award would be important to you financially.Special circumstances that may be unusual or somewhat uniqueEligibility
