Cycle 26 Grants - Child Care (Ages 0-4 Years)

Application Process

The San Diego Women's Foundation uses a multi-stage annual grants process:

1. Letter of Inquiry (LOI) Stage
- Deadline: November (annually)
- Short written application declaring project intent
- Organizations evaluated by SDWF members
- Selected organizations invited to submit full proposals

2. Full Proposal Stage
- Deadline: Late February (annually)
- Invited organizations only
- SDWF members trained and form teams for proposal reviews

3. Site Visits
- April (annually)
- Small teams of SDWF members visit selected organizations
- Teams recommend organizations to advance to ballot stage

4. Ballot & Voting
- All SDWF members vote on finalist organizations
- Selected organizations become Community Partners

5. Post-Award
- Organizations attend Annual Grants Celebration (June)
- Assigned two impact liaisons from SDWF membership
- Annual impact reporting and story collection
