Mission

The mission of the Custodes Libertatis Memorial Foundation is to provide educational scholarship tuition grants for post-secondary degrees from accredited two or four-year colleges, universities, technical, or trade schools.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

Children of United States Naval Academy graduates who have lost their lives:

- In combat against the enemies of the United States of America
- As a result of Military Training
- In the line of United States Department of Defense Duty
- As a direct result of their service in the United States Intelligence Community
- While serving in Law Enforcement Agencies
- While serving in Emergency Medical Services
- While serving as First Responders
- In the period following September 11th, 2001

Accredited two-year colleges

Accredited four-year colleges/universities

Accredited technical schools

Accredited trade schools

Background

Custodes Libertatis meaning "Guardians of Liberty" is the motto of the United States Naval Academy class of 2006. The class of 2006 is leading this initiative on behalf of all Naval Academy alumni and the children of fallen shipmates.

Current Impact: Over 70 graduates from 30 United States Naval Academy classes have made the ultimate sacrifice in the Post 9/11 era.
