Creative Native Call for Art Grant

The Creative Native Call for Art invites Indigenous artists aged 5 to 24 to showcase their talents through diverse artistic expressions. Participants can submit works inspired by the theme of what is sacred to them and their community, with opportunities for national recognition and awards, including a grand prize of $1,000. This initiative aims to celebrate and support young artists in their creative journeys while honoring cultural significance and community values.

Creative Native celebrates a cornerstone of many Indigenous cultures by providing space and support for artists between the ages of 5 and 24 years old to showcase their talents. All artists who submit will be featured in the Creative Native Gallery and have the opportunity to receive national recognition and a categorical award of $300. One artist (15-24) will also be recognized as the grand prize winner, and receive $1,000.
2025 submissions should be inspired by the following prompt:
What is sacred to you? What is important to you and your community? Is it a place, person, a tradition, a story, the young people of your community? Is it a smell, a sound or a language?*
Recognizing the diversity in artistic expression among individuals and tribes, all interpretations of the prompt and art mediums are welcomed. This includes, but is not limited to: painting, drawing, pottery, photography, sculpture and traditional works such as beadwork, jewelry, regalia, silversmithing and carving.

Self-identify as Native American or Indigenous Between the ages of 5 and 24 years old (on the application deadline)Currently reside in the United States
