Create Healthy Grant

Create Healthy provides grants and other donations to area non-profit organizations to support their work in mental health, early childhood development, health education, healthy living and food security. Recipients must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or public entity; the project must support one of those five areas; and recipients must serve residents of Gillespie, Blanco, Llano or Mason Counties, or Comfort, Texas. Applications are accepted year-round with quarterly funding decisions on a January/April/July/October first-of-the-month cycle. Create Healthy has contributed $15,681,341 to the Texas Hill Country, including $11,005,456 in grant funding, and describes itself as the largest philanthropic entity in the region. Recent awards range from $10,000 (Texas Ramp Project) to $1,208,750 (Frontera Healthcare Network psychiatric program).

Email a completed application to Grants@CreateHealthy.org; the application and an FAQ are downloadable from the Create Healthy Grant Application page. Applications are accepted year-round and may be submitted at any time; funding decisions are made quarterly, and applications submitted by the first of January, April, July and October are considered in that quarter. Before submitting, contact grants@createhealthy.org if the proposed request is less than $25,000.
