CRDA Community Development Grants

The CRDA Community Development Grants aim to enhance Atlantic City through targeted support for community initiatives. Grants of up to $30,000 are available for various projects, including education, youth services, and cultural festivals, fostering a vibrant community for residents and visitors alike. Eligible applicants must be non-profit organizations with a proven track record. The CRDA prioritizes projects that strengthen community ties and improve the quality of life in Atlantic City.

The CRDA is dedicated to facilitating economic and community development opportunities throughout the City. We are dedicated to the reinvestment of Atlantic City through the support and creation of various initiatives by leveraging its available assets and revenues with private investment capital to support various projects meant to revitalize Atlantic City. Given that, the CRDA oversees land use planning in the Tourism District; it also continues its mission to create new opportunities to attract visitors to Atlantic City.
These projects are specific to the creation or support of community initiatives that build a stronger and more resilient Atlantic City. These projects should seek to make the Atlantic City community a stronger and more vibrant community for those who live, work and play here.

Eligibility

Eligible Projects:EducationYouth Services (after school programs; summer programs; etc.)Honorarium (memorials)Cultural FestivalsFunding ceiling of $30,000 for cultural festivals.Open Space Revitalization/BeautificationArtsRecreationHealth and NutritionEligible Applicants:Must be a 501©3, non-profit, and/or tax-exempt organization for CommunityDevelopment applications.Have a proven track record of no less than two years providing programs/projects to the community of Atlantic City or have previous experience with the CRDA.A recipient of financial assistance under the grant program may participate in ONE funding round per year and may reapply for additional funding, if available, in the second year following the year of award.Grant funds must me spent down before a new grant can be applied for.If applying for a previously awarded grant, the applicant must obtain additional funding sources separate from CRDA grant funding.This includes in-kind donations.CRDA reserves the right to make exceptions

Ineligibility

Ineligible Expenses:Applicant's operating expenses including but not limited to; applicants and applicants employees’ salaries, wages, benefits, utilities, postage, professional development (case by case), accounting services, interest or penalties for late fees or returned checks. Training expenses may be approved for first time applicants.
