COVID-19 Rapid Response Relief Fund

Geographic Scope: Metropolitan Atlanta area

Focus Areas:

  • Direct service projects supporting low-wealth Black communities and historically disinvested communities of color

  • Services funded include:

  • - Food distributions
    - Housing assistance and rental/utilities relief
    - Community cleanup
    - Mental health support
    - COVID-19 testing
    - Business support
    - Education services
    - Emergency food delivery
    - Transportation assistance

    Eligibility:

  • Frontline organizations serving low-wealth Black communities and communities of color

  • Direct service providers (not policy or advocacy organizations)

  • PSE leadership academy program graduates encouraged to apply
  • Priority: 85% of funding directed to Black-led organizations; 100% of organizations serve Black communities and communities of color

    Funding Distributed: Over $200,000 distributed to 30+ organizations in metropolitan Atlanta (as of December 2020)

  • Note: This was a time-limited emergency relief fund with an application period that has passed. Subsequent rounds of funding were distributed based on organizational partnerships and demonstrated community impact.
