Council 2 Continuing Education Scholarships

Overview: Council 2 offers continuing education scholarships to union members seeking post-secondary education. These awards provide financial support for members pursuing additional education or career advancement.

Scholarship Details

• Award Amount: $1,000 per scholarship (historically awarded in memory of deceased union members)
• Number of Awards: 5 continuing education awards annually
• Purpose: Support for union members to begin or continue post-secondary education

Eligibility

• Must be a member in good standing of a local union affiliated with the WSCCCE
• Seeking to pursue or continue post-secondary education
• Must be applying for continuing education (not available to high school graduates only)

Application Requirements

• Applications must be postmarked no later than March 15th each year
• Late applications will be disqualified
• Applications available for download in early January
• Specific eligibility rules outlined in application

Selection Process

• Scholarship Committee makes selections prior to June
• Recipients and non-recipients notified by mail
