Council 2 Continuing Education Scholarships

Council 2 offers continuing education scholarships to union members seeking post-secondary education. These awards provide financial support for members pursuing additional education or career advancement.

Scholarship Details

• Award Amount: $1,000 per scholarship (historically awarded in memory of deceased union members)
• Number of Awards: 5 continuing education awards annually
• Purpose: Support for union members to begin or continue post-secondary education

Eligibility

• Must be a member in good standing of a local union affiliated with the WSCCCE
• Seeking to pursue or continue post-secondary education
• Must be applying for continuing education (not available to high school graduates only)

Application Requirements

• Applications must be postmarked no later than March 15th each year
• Late applications will be disqualified
• Applications available for download in early January

• Scholarship Committee makes selections prior to June

Application Process

1. Obtain Application: Continuing education scholarship applications available for download around mid-January from the Council 2 website
2. Review Instructions: Read all application instructions carefully before completing
3. Complete Application: Fill out all required sections of the continuing education scholarship application
4. Submit Application: Mail application - must be postmarked no later than March 15th
5. Await Notification: Scholarship Committee selects recipients prior to June; notification by mail
