Cornelius R. Collignon Family Scholarship Grant

The Cornelius R. Collignon Family Scholarship, managed by the Community Foundation Alliance, supports graduating seniors or graduates from Spencer County high schools pursuing a four-year degree in agriculture, forestry, or aviation. Established in memory of Cornelius R. Collignon, this scholarship honors his dedication to protecting natural resources. Eligible applicants must demonstrate leadership, patriotism, and financial need, with preference given to students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in college.

The Spencer County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation Alliance, a network of nine community foundations serving counties in southwestern Indiana.
Community Scholarship Program
Many of our donors have honored their loved ones, communities, high schools, colleges, or professions by endowing scholarship opportunities through the Community Foundation. We administer separate scholarship funds established by individuals, families, corporations, and organizations to assist local students in pursuit of advanced education. Together, these scholarships make up our Community Scholarship Program.

Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on applicant’s demonstration of leadership abilities, patriotism, financial need, and academic performance.

Eligibility

Graduating seniors or graduates of any Spencer County high school or home school with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) pursuing a four-year degree at an accredited Indiana college or university majoring in agriculture, forestry, or aviation (preferably agriculture). Preference will be given to students entering their college sophomore, junior, or senior year.
