Grant Process

Grants made by CSC on behalf of the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity are subject to a rigorous evaluation and review process by the Board of Directors.

Eligibility & Restrictions

• No Member of Congress may solicit CSC on behalf of a charity
• Members of Congress are not consulted in the grant-making process
• Organizations may not receive funding from CSC more than three years in a row (with very few exceptions)
• All application requirements must be completed and submitted by published deadlines
• Completion of or request for an application does not guarantee a grant

Grant Determination

The number and size of grants made each year by CSC will be determined based on:
• Funds available for grant making
• Relative merit of applications received

Reporting Requirements

Any organization that receives funding from CSC must provide:
• Narrative report of fund usage
• Financial accounting of funds received
