The Harwich Fund plans to award $5,000 to $7,500 in this first round of competitive grantmaking

Applicant organizations can be located outside of the Town of Harwich, but projects and programs must specifically support Harwich residents.Types of Organizations That May Apply501(c)(3) public charitiesOrganizations serving a charitable purpose that have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) public charityFaith-based organizationsWe will consider proposals if:Services benefit all, regardless of religion;Services provided are not religious in nature; andThere is no proselytizing associated with the service.Civic organizationsProposals must be project-based and of a charitable nature; the organization must have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.Public and private schoolsWe will only fund projects that exceed the school’s budget; applicant must have a letter of support from the fiscal head of the school.Other government agencies with project-based proposalsApplicants must have a letter of support from the fiscal head of the agency.You can apply to more than one grant program at the same time.If you received an award from one of our programs you must wait one year to reapply to that program.You may reapply if you did not receive an award.
