Community Support Fund

Overview: Baptist Health Foundation and Baptist Health System created the Community Support Fund to provide grant funding for non-profit organizations aligned with their healing ministry mission.

Eligibility

• Must be established as a 501(c)(3) organization
• Must operate within at least one or more of the communities in the foundation's footprint: Jefferson, Shelby, Talladega, and Walker counties (Alabama)
• Must be healthcare-based in mission or services
• Faith-based programs are given priority but are not required

• Program grants
• General operating support grants

Geographic Scope

Service area: Jefferson, Shelby, Talladega, and Walker counties, Alabama

Priority Focus Areas

Based on Brookwood Baptist Health System's Community Needs Assessments, the foundation prioritizes funding for:
• Mental health
• Food insecurity
• Access to healthcare and barriers to health
• Transportation
• Behavioral health
• Education for clinical worker shortage in healthcare

What They Do NOT Fund

• Grants to political organizations
• Sponsorships of fundraisers
• Grants to individuals
