About Us Who Are We? At the Community Foundation of Noble County we are passionate about making Noble County an even better place to call home. Since 1991, area residents have been turning to the Community Foundation of Noble County to make their philanthropic giving as effective as possible, as we see it as our mission to serve as a catalyst for positive change. The Community Foundation of Noble County is a public charity 501 (c) 3 entity. As a group of invested community members, we identify local current and emerging issues and stimulate resources to address those needs, helping our region prepare for the future. We then leverage gifts and bequests from generous donors like you to drive positive change through grants in such areas as arts and culture, education, health and human services, civic affairs and other charitable areas of interest. Mission To improve the quality of life in Noble County by serving as catalyst for positive change, enabling donors to carry out charitable intent, and making grants. Community State Bank Neighborly Fund The purpose of the fund is to support a variety of charity endeavors benefiting the people of Noble County. Donor Fund Story: In 2002, this fund was started. Dave Knopp, former executive director at the Community Foundation of Noble County (CFNC), suggested that the bank start a fund so that they would be able to help in the community in whatever way was needed. Annually, the bank helps with Noble and Dekalb’s Relay for Life and the Local Christmas Bureau. The Local Christmas Bureau gives money to area needy families. Clothes, food, and children’s toys are collected through this bureau. The bank also has a pork burger fundraiser which they hold on the Avilla bank location. Another fundraiser that the bank holds is “Jeans Day.” This event lets employees at the bank donate two dollars to wear jeans to work. Stuart Hood is the Community State Bank President and CEO states, “Noble County is the ‘heartbeat of America’.”Eligibility
