Geographic Scope: Memphis and Mid-South region

• Safe and Resilient Places
• Systemic issues affecting community safety
• Public safety and community-driven strategies
• Justice reform
• Housing system reform

This multi-year initiative funds nonprofits executing ground-level, community-driven strategies to tackle systemic issues and empower communities. The initiative focuses on supporting Safe and Resilient Places by funding organizations working to create innovative, tangible solutions to address critical challenges related to community safety and well-being.

Eligibility:

• Nonprofits deeply connected to the communities they serve
• Organizations that actively collaborate with their communities to design and implement transformative solutions
• Preference for organizations led by executive directors/CEOs of color (80% of funded agencies met this criterion in the first round)
