- Must be willing to partner with MonmouthCares for comprehensive reporting
Eligible Applicants
- Youth: Ages up to 21 impacted by emotional, behavioral, intellectual, neurodiversity, or substance use challenges
- May include: Caregivers
- Geographic focus: Communities disproportionately impacted by social determinants of health (SDoH)
Target Population
- Support existing programs or new programs
- Must be in-person activities only
- Reduce risks to youth and directly promote well-being, safety, health, and connections at home and in the community
- Focus on one or more of: - Health and Fitness - Life Skills (cooking, respectful debate, financial education and empowerment, preparation for adulthood) - Peer Support and Anti-Bullying - Social Skills - Therapeutic interventions including Animals - Therapeutic interventions involving Creative Arts
Eligible Projects
- Applicants must agree to comprehensive reporting as dictated by the Children's System of Care
- Site visit by MonmouthCares and chosen reviewers required
- Program performance reports including level of service, outcomes, and quantifiable deliverables
- Expenditure reports to coordinate release of funding during grant cycle
Reporting Requirements
- All awards contingent on sufficiency and availability of state funding
- Final approval subject to NJ Children's System of Care approval
- Notification of successful applicants: May 2026
