Community Outreach Grant Program

Funder: Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott

Mission: In keeping with the 5000 year-old Jewish tradition of helping one's neighbor and the act of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), the Foundation utilizes unrestricted funds from generous donors to support new, innovative, and start-up charitable projects.

  • Service Area: Quad-city area of Greater Prescott (Yavapai County), Arizona

    Focus Areas

    The Foundation supports grant proposals in the following areas:
  • Humanitarian and social service programs
  • Education
  • Health
  • Arts and cultural programs
  • Community partnerships benefiting a broad spectrum of the community

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Organizations must be IRS-recognized direct 501(c)(3) charitable organizations
  • Organization and program must provide benefits and services to the quad-city area of Yavapai County
  • Priority given to:
  • - New or substantially improved programs - Programs that promote community partnerships - Programs with demonstrated community need and clear benefits - Programs with demonstrated sources of continued funding beyond grant period
  • Lower priority for: Organizations receiving significant funding from state or federal government

    What the Foundation Will NOT Fund

  • General operating expenses
  • Debt reduction
  • Endowment fund establishment
  • Capital campaign funding

Grant Application Process

Application Format:

  • Maximum 3 letter-sized typed pages

  • Submit electronically in Word Document or PDF format

  • Required Information for General Organizations:
    1. Name of applicant organization
    2. Mailing and street address of organization
    3. Contact information of person responsible for the application process
    4. Name and contact information of organization's executive director
    5. Brief bio of executive director
    6. Names of trustees of organization
    7. Brief summary of the organization's mission
    8. Concise description of the project
    9. Total cost of the project and the amount requested from the Foundation
    10. Who in the community will benefit from the project
    11. Start and completion dates of the project
    12. How will the outcomes of the project be evaluated
    13. IRS letter of determination of tax-exempt status
    14. Total funding budget and prior year resources
    15. Organization's most current financial statements and most recently filed tax return

    Required Information for School Grant Requests:
    1. Name of school
    2. Mailing and street address of school
    3. Contact information of person responsible for the application process
    4. Concise description of the project
    5. Total cost of the project and the amount requested from the Foundation
    6. Who in the community will benefit from the project and student/community impacts
    7. Start and completion dates of the project
    8. How will the outcomes of the project be evaluated

    Review Process:

  • All applications reviewed by Foundation's Grants Committee

  • Grants awarded based on evaluation of community need and priority

  • Organizations receiving grants agree to submit a report outlining fund expenditure and project results
  • Timeline for 2026 Grant Cycle:
