    Target Population

  • ALICE+: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed individuals and families
  • Community members living paycheck to paycheck, often just one unexpected expense away from financial crisis
  • Those living at or below the poverty line

    Eligibility

  • Agencies serving within focus areas of Health, Education, Financial Stability, Basic Needs, and Youth Opportunity
  • Targeting ALICE+ population
  • Must have a governing board in place
  • Mission and vision must align with United Way's focus areas

    Grant Cycle Details

  • Three-year grant cycle for most focus areas (Health, Education, Financial Stability, Youth Opportunity)
  • Basic Needs Programs: Apply yearly
  • Geographic scope: Amarillo & Canyon, TX area

    Reporting Requirements

  • Stewardship Reporting: Due Wednesday, July 15, 2026 (Audit information)
  • End-of-Year Numbers: Opens Thursday, December 31, 2026 | Closes Wednesday, January 13, 2027 (Focuses on measurable impact and service data)
  • Annual stewardship reporting required from all funded partners

Application Process

Application Window: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – Monday, October 5, 2026

Application Portal: Access through grant portal at uwamarillocanyon.org

Required Information:

  • Organization must have a governing board

  • Mission and vision alignment with United Way focus areas

  • Description of target population (ALICE+)

  • Program details for one or more focus areas (Health, Education, Financial Stability, Basic Needs, Youth Opportunity)

  • Measurable outcomes and community impact data

  • Financial information and budget
  • Reporting Requirements:

  • Annual stewardship reporting (due July 15 annually)

  • End-of-Year Numbers reporting (December 31 – January 13)

  • Detailed information about outcomes and finances to demonstrate measurable impact
