Community Health Champion Award

A prestigious award presented to an individual who has demonstrated long-lasting and direct impact on improving the health and well-being of their community through leadership, passion, and strategic vision.

Award Recognition: The award highlights the importance of community health by honoring commitment, motivation, and dedication of individuals who sustainably improve health of underserved populations.

Geographic Scope: Open to individuals from any country

Award Criteria

Community Health Champions demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

• Research
• Practice
• Community engagement
• Inclusive development

Eligibility

Who Can Be Nominated:

• Individuals from any country may be nominated
• Individual does NOT have to work for a CORE Group member organization

Who Can Submit Nominations:

• Any staff member working for a CORE Group member organization
• Individual & Student members of CORE Group

Voting:

• Conducted by ballot
• Limited to CORE Group member organizations only
• Winner determined by majority of votes received

Award Benefits

• Life-long individual membership to CORE Group
• Opportunity to accept award and speak to CORE Group membership at Global Health Practitioner Conference

• Award presented at the Global Health Practitioner Conference (annual event in December)
• 2020 presentation date: December 8-10, 2020

Nomination Process

How to Submit:

1. Submit nomination through website portal
2. Provide information about nominee demonstrating impact in eligible areas

Required Information:

• Nominee details and credentials
• Description of nominee's achievements in research, practice, community engagement, and/or inclusive development
• Evidence of long-lasting and direct impact on community health

Timeline:

• Historical deadline: October 9, 2020
• Award presented: December 8-10, 2020 (Global Health Practitioner Conference)
