Community Grants

Funder: Santa Clara County REALTORS® Foundation

Geographic Scope: Santa Clara County, CA

Focus Areas: Housing, education, communities, social services, and disaster relief

Eligibility:

  • 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations

  • Organizations located in or serving Santa Clara County

  • Can only receive grant once every two years
  • Grant Details:

  • Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per request (capped as general rule)

  • Recurrence: Two grant cycles per year (Spring and Fall)

  • - Spring: Applications due December 31st; awards by March 30th
    - Fall: Applications due June 30th; awards by September 30th

    Requirements:

  • All grants must comply with 501(c)(3) guidelines

  • Incomplete packages will not be considered

  • Applicants invited to in-person check presentation and photo opportunity

  • Applicants may make in-person presentation to Foundation Committee if desired

  • Within 60 days of receiving grant, applicant must follow up on how funds were used, who benefited, and program success

  • Must describe how organization will acknowledge SCCR Foundation

  • How to Apply

    Required Application Materials

    All of the following must be submitted as a complete package:

    1. Cover letter signed by Executive Director or other designated party
    2. Statement of purpose describing how the funds will be used
    3. Board of Directors and Executive Staff list of the applicant organization
    4. Current financial statements:
    - Profit & Loss (P&L) statement
    - Balance Sheet
    - Year-to-date financial statements
    5. Yearly budget
    6. IRS tax-exempt determination letter (copy)
    7. Last 2 years of Federal 990 tax returns (copies)
    8. Acknowledgment plan describing how your organization will acknowledge the SCCR Foundation

    Timeline

    • Spring Cycle: Applications due December 31st; awards by March 30th
    • Fall Cycle: Applications due June 30th; awards by September 30th

    Notes

    • Incomplete packages will not be considered
    • Organizations encouraged to apply each cycle but can only receive grant once every two years
