Overview

Fremont Area Community Foundation awards community grants on a semi-annual basis to support a wide variety of organizations and projects addressing critical local needs. Recent grant rounds have awarded $1.98 million to $3.35 million to local agencies and programs.

Literacy training and teacher professional development

Cooperative learning strategy implementation

Substance abuse prevention programming in schools

Reading intervention programs

Family literacy initiatives

Reading support programs with mentoring components

Community and Economic Development:

Trail development and recreation infrastructure (e.g., $500,000 Dragon at Hardy Dam trail)

Community wellness centers

Family information and assistance services

Poverty to Prosperity:

Mental health counseling and support programs

Women's support services (grief, loss, transition support)

Community wellness and health programs
