Community Foundation Grants

Overview:
The Quad Cities Community Foundation makes grants of all sizes to nonprofits of all sizes through various grant programs and funds. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations addressing the most pressing needs and promising opportunities in the Quad Cities region.

Geographic Scope:
Primarily Rock Island and Scott Counties (Iowa and Illinois), though grants may be available elsewhere

Focus Areas:
The foundation supports nonprofits across multiple sectors. Board of directors sets policies and priorities for each fund established at the foundation, from which grants may be awarded.

Eligibility:

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and other charitable organizations

  • Some grants available to non-501(c)(3) charitable organizations (with additional reporting requirements)

  • Serving the Quad Cities region and surrounding areas
  • Oversight:
    Board of directors, professional staff, grants and scholarships committees, and donor advisors ensure every grant is legal, charitable, and fulfills donor intent.

    Application Support:
    The foundation's grantmaking team provides support to nonprofits applying for grants, whether first-time or experienced applicants.

  • Fulfill all reporting requirements to be considered for future awards
  • Non-501(c)(3) Organizations:

  • Must complete additional Expenditure Responsibility Reporting
