Community Demonstration Pilot: FASD Youth Skills Curriculum Grant

Funder: Proof Alliance

Geographic Scope: Minnesota

Project Overview

Proof Alliance has developed an interactive, structured skills group curriculum for youth with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). The curriculum is informed by extensive experience facilitating FASD-specific youth groups and guided by consultation with nationally recognized FASD experts, Barb Clark and Michael Harris, MA, LP, SEP.

    Curriculum Features

  • Target Population: Transition-age youth (ages 14-21) with confirmed or suspected FASD and related neurodevelopmental differences
  • Design: Facilitator-friendly, engaging, grounded in lived experience
  • Goal: Practical, responsive to youth needs, and ready for dissemination to community-based organizations

Pilot Purpose

The purpose of the pilot is to field test and evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness, and scalability of the curriculum. During the pilot phase, Proof Alliance will also be field testing the curriculum with a monthly teen skills group cohort in St. Paul to assess implementation processes, participant engagement, and preliminary outcomes.
