Community Catalyst Fund

Organization: Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville (Created in partnership with Torch Technologies)

Mission: Provide a perpetual source of grants for improving quality of life in Huntsville and Madison County through an endowment to fund annual grants for the betterment of the community.

Geographic Scope: Greater Huntsville and Madison County, Alabama

  • Torch Technologies (Torchbearer Sponsor): $50,000 inaugural leadership gift

  • Additional $100,000 challenge grant available to match other corporate and individual gifts

  • Fund expected to grow into significant endowment over 5-10 years

  • Enable the Community Foundation to become an active grantmaker

  • Allow board and staff to make and manage strategic philanthropic investments
