Background: Impact Harrisburg is a nonprofit created in 2014 to help steer the capital city's recovery from near-bankruptcy.

    Funding Focus Areas

    Projects must demonstrate impact in at least one of the following areas:
  • Improving operational efficiency, safety and livability of the City
  • Improving a community or neighborhood by making it more livable or viable, providing benefit to principally low-and moderate-income people, or removing/eliminating slums or blighted areas
  • Building the Tax Base by adding to real estate, redevelopment of non-taxpaying blighted properties into tax-paying properties
  • Job Creation by creating permanent jobs in the City and employing City residents to the extent possible
  • Quality of Life by improving operational efficiency, safety and livability
  • Revenue Generation by increasing earned income or other taxes paid directly to the City
